Add a second income stream to your site

A lot of people put all their eggs in one basket and rely solely on adsence. While adsence is very good and I run it on several sites, it also worth trying other PPC programmes. If you run multiple sites it is well worth putting alternative PPC programmes on some of these sites. There are many stories of people relying solely on adsence only to find their account disabled, their funds withdrawn and are then left with no income stream. Adbrite offer a good alternative and there in line ads can also run on the same pages as google adsence.

Adbrite

Adbrite offer the following different types of promoting their adverts on your site:
  • Banner Ads ( Can be paid on CPM (per 1000 impressions) or CPC.
  • Text Ads These are paid on CPC and you can customise to suit your site.
  • Full Page Ads A full-page ad shown in-between the pages of your site , Customize the header to match the look & feel of your site Choose to display after 1,2,3,4 or 5 page views
  • Inline Ads Up to 8 keywords are double-underlined on your site .When users rollover highlighted words, a text ad shows Pays on a CPC (cost per click) basis

You also have an option on Adbrite to auto accept adverts for your site, or wait for offers and choose which ones you want to display. If you have a site with reasonable traffic you many want to not auto accept but wait for offers to come in, that way you will know the amount per click through you will be getting. I have received offers on a site I run using Adbrite up to $5 per click.
